I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Computer Vision and Active Perception lab of the Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm, Sweden (KTH). Prior to this I was a research fellow at the Computer Architecture and Technology department of the University of Granada, Spain. I obtained the Ph.D. degree in Medical Sciences from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, where I also received the M.Sc. in Commercial Engineering and the M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence.

My main research interest is in robust real-time computer vision for robotics. In the past I have worked on autonomous navigation, but my current focus is on dexterous manipulation of complex objects. See the research page for more details. Most of the source code is available as part of the SimTrack package for real-time model-based object pose estimation.
